One day trek in the hills of Mae Taeng, located about 50 km north of Chiang Mai. Total hiking in the mountain wilderness will be about 5 hours including a break at a waterfall. On route enjoy the time at a Lahu hill tribe village, where you also take your lunch.

Our local tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Chiang Mai at time 08.00. Travel by pick up truck for about one hour.

Drive for about one hour in northern direction in to the Mae Taeng Valley.

Here start your trek through the mountain wilderness to the Lahu hill tribe village of Baan Huay Kub Kab, situated on a hill top with some great views. Join your tour guide in a local hut to prepare a simple, but tasty lunch. There is enough time to observe the culture and daily life of the Lahu people out here.

Afterwards trek down back to the valley until you reach a small waterfall. Time to relax and take a bath.

After another short walk the pick up truck is ready to bring you back to the hotel in Chiang Mai arrive there by early evening (the total hiking time is roughly 5 hours).

Ein Tagestrek in den Hügeln von Mae Taeng, ca. 50 km nördlich von Chiang Mai. Die Wanderung in der Bergwildnis beträgt etwa 5 Std. inkl. baden bei einem Wasserfall. Die Mittagspause folgt unterwegs im Dorf vom Bergstamm der Lahu.

Abholung vom Hotel folgt um 08.00 Uhr. Sie fahren etwa eine Stunde mit dem Pick Up Truck und beginnen dann gleich mit der Wanderung durch die Bergwildnis.

Die Route führt Sie zuerst bergauf nach Baan Huay Kub Kab, ein Dorf vom Bergstamm der Lahu. Von hier aus geniessen Sie auch einen tollen Rundblick auf die Talebene. Und Sie können in der einfachen Hütte den Guide bei der Zubereitung des einfachen, aber schmackhaften Mittagessen unterstützen. Es bleibt natürlich Zeit die Kultur und das tägliche Leben der Lahu hier im Dorf zu beobachten.

Danach wandern Sie talwärts zu einem kleinen Wasserfall. Zeit für eine kühle Erfrischung. Etwas später erreichen Sie unser Zubringerfahrzeug, welches Sie zurück ins Hotel nach Chiang Mai bringt mit Ankunft im gebuchten Hotel am späten Nachmittag. Das effektive Trekking beträgt gute 5 Stunden.
