This guided private excursion shows you the best of Chiang Mai City with its finest sightseeing spots. One of the highlights is the drive up the hill to Doi Suthep Temple, from where you can enjoy great views of the city and surrounding area. Immerse yourself in history, while taking a tour around the old city part and later take a stroll over the colorful, bustling local market.

At time 09.00 you will be picked up by our tour guide and driver from the hotel in Chiang Mai.
Drive first around the old town of Chiang Mai surrounded by a moat, which houses countless historical temples. The oldest of them all is Wat Chiang Man, built in 1296. You will also stop here.
A little bit outside the old city lies Wat Suan Dok, dating from the 14th century. It features countless white chedis containing the ashes of several generations of the Chiang Mai royal family.
Then it's off to the Suthep Mountain Temple, which is also a kind of landmark of the city. The temple complex is located at an altitude of just over 1000 meters. In clear weather you have a great view of the city and surroundings.
Lunch will follow at a local restaurant on route.
In the center of the city on the banks the Ping River, take walk through Warorot Market (the largest and most important fresh market for the locals in Chiang Mai) and the neighboring Ton Lanyai Market with its fragrant flowers, vegetables and partly exotic fruits. Such local markets are an important part of the daily life of Thais.
Then it is time for your transfer back to the hotel. Time for shopping, spa/massage or just relaxing at the pool of the hotel.
Or you are still eager to visit more places of interest? Maybe the well-known handicraft workshops in Bosang with the well-known umbrella painters, as well as the silver processing, lacquerware production, wood carvings etc. Or more scenic temples, such as Wat Sri Suphan, better known as the Silver Temple.
