River Kwai Jungle Rafts

DAY 1 BANGKOK - KANCHANABURI - RIVER KWAI L/D
Early morning between time 06.00-06.30 you will be picked up pick up by the local tour guide from the hotel in Bangkok. Drive for approx. 2,5 hours towards the west and reach the city of Kanchanaburi. Here visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Center (an interactive museum presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway), the Allied War Cemetery and the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai. The bridge and so called Death Railway was built by allied soldiers (prisoners of war) and approx. 9000 of them lost their live during time of construction. Then board a long tail boat and take lunch at the raft house. Afterwards continue first by boat and later on the road to the Hellfire Pass Memorial. Return to your river raft house. Here enjoy your dinner, followed by a traditional Mon Dance Show. Overnight.
DAY 2 RIVER KWAI B/L/D
After breakfast start for an exiting boat ride upstream on the Kwai River until you reach the Saiyoke Yai Waterfall & National Park. You got some time to explore the area or also can take a bath. Return to the raft house for your lunch. In the afternoon explore the fascinating stalactites of the nearby Lawa Cave. Then you got some time at your leisure to relax or book optional tours with activities like canoeing or bamboo rafting. Enjoy another dinner and night at the floating raft house here in the wilderness of the Kwai River.
DAY 3 RIVER KWAI - KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK B/L
In the morning take a side trip and visit a Mon tribal village to witness the simple way of living out here in the wilderness. The Mon are an ethnic minority group and do originate from neighboring Myanmar. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on route. Afterwards continue for an exiting train ride on the so called Death Railway passing also the famous wooden viaducts of Wang Pho along the river with some breathtaking scenery. Finally it is time for your transfer back to Bangkok. Arrive there by early evening, followed by transfer to your booked hotel.
REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:
- On request there is also a 2 days/1 night River Kwai Package available.
- Instead at the River Kwai Jungle Rafts an upgrade to the more luxurious Float House River Kwai is possible. If you wish to do so, just let us know at the time of booking!
- Accommodation in Bangkok before and/or after this package at the hotel of your choice can be booked with us, too
