PHI 613 - CEBU & BOHOL - 8 DAYS/7 NIGHTS
This package tour will give you some impressions about Cebu and Bohol, which are probably the two most well known islands in the Visayas. Cebu is the second most populous Metropolitan area in the Philippines and became the first Spanish settlement in 1565. It was also the start of Catholicism all over the Philippines. Neighboring Bohol with its Chocolate Hills, the Philippine Tarsier and some beautiful beaches belongs to the most famous places in the Philippines. During your journey at both places, Cebu & Bohol, you will stay at nice beach side hotels and get also some time to relax. Daily departure from Cebu to Tagbilaran, minimum 2 persons, private tour
DAY 1 CEBU
Arrival in Cebu. Here you are welcomed by our local representative, followed by short transfer to the beach side hotel and day at leisure.
DAY 2 CEBU
Early in the morning you are picked up for the trip to Oslob for whale shark interaction and Kawasan Falls. Be captivated as you watch friendly creatures of the sea. Take the pleasure in watching and swimming with this gentle whale sharks, a once in a lifetime experience. After the interaction, continue to drive to Badian for one hour and a half. A thirty minutes cozy trek to a peaceful river and a gentle hush of rushing cool water does await you. All this and more in Badian's Kawasan Falls! It is a popular gateway destination in the southern part of Cebu with its lush tropical trees and the peaceful flow of the river as it gracefully rushes to the distant sea. Your lunch will be served near the Falls. Afterwards travel back to Cebu City. Overnight.
DAY 3 CEBU
Day at leisure at the beach side hotel. Overnight in Cebu
DAY 4 CEBU - TAGBILARAN (BOHOL)
In the morning you are picked up by the local tour guide. Short transfer to the ferry port. Cross the sea by Oceanjet to the neighboring island of Bohol. On arrival at the port city Tagbilaran you are welcomed by the local representative, followed by transfer to the beach resort at Panglao. Day at leisure. Overnight.
DAY 5 BOHOL
After breakfast you are picked up from the resort for your countryside tour in Bohol. First stop at the historic blood compact shrine, a historical landmark commemorating the 1st Treaty of friendship between the east and the west, before visiting the centuries old Baclayon Church and Museum. Then it is time to head to the Tarsier Sanctuary. Take a short hike led by the park ranger to the tarsier's natural habitat and see the nocturnal mammals who's saucer-round eyes make up a third of its face and its tail is longer than its body. It is the oldest known smallest primate that leaves in Bohol. On route to the Chocolate Hills, drive through the lush Mahogany man made forest and the green farmlands in Bilar and Batuan. Take a brief stop at a butterfly farm, before you can enjoy the views of the awesome cone shaped hills known as the chocolate hills from a viewing deck on top of one of these hills. From here go on for an approx. one hour cruise on the Loboc River on board a native catamaran. A sumptuous lunch of local cuisine is served on board. Enjoy the cruise along rolling hills, graceful coconut trees and green nipa palms lining the river banks. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Panglao.
DAY 6 BOHOL
Early in the morning you are picked up for your island hopping tour and your outrigger boat will bring you to Pamalican Island. The sea waters around Pamilacan island is home to some species of whales & dolphins. If you are lucky, these whales might be sighted between February to August. It may be interesting to note that the crew & spotters for this tour are the former whale hunters now trained spotters who gave up their traditional livelihood in favor of preserving the environment. Other activities in this tour includes swimming & snorkeling around Pamilacan Island and a village tour. Picnic lunch will be served at the island. After lunch drive back to the resort at Panglao. Overnight.
DAY 7 BOHOL
Full day at leisure. Enjoy the beach. You can also book another island hopping trip combined with snorkeling and dolphin watching.
DAY 8 TAGBILARAN (BOHOL)
Transfer to the airport and continue your journey
REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:
For most nationalities (you can check with us) there is no visa necessary for the Philippines if staying 30 days or less. But sometimes a return ticket has to be shown!
Additional nights in Cebu and Bohol, but also accommodation in Manila before and/or after this tour can be booked with us.
