Hue - Hoi An - Danang

DAY 1 HUE
Arrival in Hue. Our tour guide and driver will welcome you, followed by transfer to the city, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. Check in at the hotel. In the afternoon visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the symbol of Hue City. On the way back, take a walk around Kim Long Village. It will be a great chance to learn about lifestyle of local people there. Visit the hundred years old ancient house that belongs to the Mandarin of Royal Court in the village and then talk to the granddaughter of the Mandarin in the house. Overnight in Hue.
DAY 2 HUE B/L
Start the day by a cyclo trip from the hotel over the famous Trang Tien Bridge to Dong Ba, a big whole sales market in Hue and you will be shown the area selling food in the market along Perfume River. From the market follow the river bank towards the area of the ancient citadel of Hue, getting over the streets, local shops for the over view of this famous citadel. The ride will be ended at Noon gate. the main entrance of the Imperial Citadel for the walking tour to the inner area of it, where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City. At noon visit Dong Thien Pagoda and then experience the vegetarian lunch prepared by the nun. The Pagoda also run some kindergartens for poor children and our visit will contribute directly to children in these classes. You also can interact with the nuns before visiting Tu Duc Tomb, discover beautiful and impressive architecture of this unique construction in Hue as well as the story of the King there. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight once more in Hue.
DAY 3 HUE - DANANG - HOI AN B/L
Early morning depart to Danang over the famous Hai Van Pass. Upon arrival visit the Cham Museum with great collections of sand stone artifact from 4th to 13th century. After lunch go on to Hoi An along beautiful Non Nuoc Beach and Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hoi An, the little town very famous as living museum, which was originally one of the major trading centers in Southeast Asia during 16th century. Take a walking tour in Hoi An. You will have the chance to experience all the typical traditional handicraft of Hoi An, such as wood carving, mat weaving, lantern making, silk worm raising, spinning and weaving, table cloth making etc. All these handicrafts have made great contributions to upgrade living standard of local people since Hoi An turn to be a popular destination for tourists. Then take a walk to Hoi An Ancient Town. Start the walk from Phan Chu Trinh Street to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. This is the typical street of Hoi An, that can show you great atmosphere of the ancient town. Visit the Japanese Cover Bridge, which is the symbol of Hoi An. After that see Tan Ky, the most well known and authentic ancient house in town. Then take a walk to the local market and Phuc Kien Congressional Assembly Hall, the communal place for Chinese community from Fukien Province in China as well the worshiping temple to Thien Hau, the Goddess protecting people on the sea, that was so important for the Chinese Merchant and Fishermen in the past. Then back to the hotel and some time at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 4 HO AN - DANANG B
Day is at leisure to discover the charming town by your own until departure time to the airport in Danang...or extend your stay at a beach hotel in Hoi An or Danang.
REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:
- Except for some nationalities (please check with us!) who can enter Vietnam without visa for a maximum stay of 15 days, you have to get your visa for Vietnam in advance! Please contact your nearest Vietnamese embassy or consulate for it. With "a letter of approval for visa on arrival" we still can also arrange the visa on arrival. If you wish to do so, please let us know at the time of booking! - This round trip is also available vice versa with start in Hoi An or Danang and then end of the tour in Hue.
- We can book various beachside hotels in Hoi An or Danang for you in case you plan to extend your stay for a few days on the beach after this tour package.
